Ready for Holiday Entertaining?

5 Decorating Tips to Help

1. Line the walk with luminaries to guide people to the front door.  They can be created with simple mason jars and tea lights.

2. Adding a wreath to your front door with  beautiful Christmas  colors of red, green and gold will welcome guests to your home and set the stage for celebrating.  A real pine wreath will arouse their sense of smell while they wait for you to answer the door.   Wrap your front door with gift wrap appropriate to the holiday and add a great big bow.  The present is your fellowship inside.

3. Change out the pillows, throws or other accessories on the front porch with holiday festive fabrics of shimmering gold, red and greens.

4. Add a little whimsy to your entry with a nutcracker statue.  At his feet, you could wrap a variety of different size boxes as presents.

5.  Adding a tablecloth to your dining table sets the stage for a formal dinner party.  When having a formal dinner party, make sure to keep the table centerpiece low to encourage conversation and not block the view across the table.  Follow these simple rules for setting the dinnerware for a formal dinner party:

Now your home is ready, the stage is set and it is time to enjoy the fruits of your labor with friends and family.  Merry Christmas!!
