Decorating the Guest Bath
We have talked about decorating the front porch and the foyer or entry, now let's talk about the next place that guests are sure to visit in your home and that is the guest bathroom. This is the room that guests can go and close the door. Does your bathroom look tired and unappealing? Here are some small changes you can do to create that spa like feel.

When choosing paint select cool light colors, such as beige, sage green or teal blue. If storage is an issue, consider adding a space saving cabinet over the commode. This will give you a place for storing extra towels or other needed bathroom supplies. Adding an elegant mirror can really dress up a bathroom.
Tired of your vinyl flooring? Check out all the options available in ceramic tile at your local hardware store. The choices are endless and adding ceramic tile to a small bathroom is not very expensive.
Lights with dimmers work in the bathroom to create that spa like feeling as well. The lights can be bright when needed but if you want to relax in a bubble bath, dim the lights. Don’t forget the candlelight. Burning candles for guests makes them feel special and also helps with any odors they may leave behind.
You know even the bathroom needs artwork. Consider something like our new Island Leaves Prints that are gender neutral since both men and women will use this room. Add some florals or greenery to the room to complete the spa look. Don’t forget the towels. Select a quality towel that will coordinate with the other colors in the room. The finishing touches will make all the difference in your guest bathroom. Make it something that will appeal to the senses and relax the body.
